This article is part of our series exploring what exactly the Palau digital residency ID can be used for.
I made my 21st attempt to use the Palau digital residency ID in June, 2024.Â
I tried to use the ID to verify my Palau digital residency ID and minimum age requirement to create an account on the social media platform X (Twitter). Â
Result:Â Successful.Â
Explanation:Â I initiated the sign up for a new account on X (Twitter) for my law firm, Malakouti Law (make sure to follow us here).
X (Twitter) asked me to verify my minimum age by uploading a government issued photo ID. Until the age was verified, I wasn’t able to access the new account. In response, I uploaded a photo of my Palau digital residency ID. I was then emailed the message below from X (Twitter) confirming submission of the ID.Â

Later that very same day, I was emailed by X (Twitter) confirming that my age was successfully verified from the Palau digital residency ID.Â

Email I received from X (Twitter) verifying my age and ID
The process of verifying ID & age using the Palau ID was very quick and smooth with X (Twitter). As you can see below, our firm twitter account is successfully up and running now.Â

I’ll continue trying to use the ID for various useful online registrations and report the results here on Malakouti Law.Â
